Sonny’s Italian Market and Deli: Authentic Italian Sandwiches and More

Oh my goodness the best Italian sub in Cecil County Ever!!!! After talking about Sonny’s at work seeing all the reviews and everyone having nothing but great things to say I finally ordered my first Italian hoagie from here today and I do not know what to do with myself. The taste of the meats and cheese the freshness of the rolls and toppings the oil the seasonings just one amazing bite after bite after bite. Then the customer service is just above and beyond welcoming friendly caring and aimed to please. I will definitely be returning to Sonny’s. Thank y’all for today and a Great Italian Hoagie Experience!!

Just drove 4hrs to get to Sonnys Deli. Definitely worth the trip, as both food and staff are absolutely amazing. One of the sandwiches I had was the Cutlet Nikolai, and the other sandwich had all meats from The Hot Italian, however I added lettuce, tomatoes. Had to skip the long hot as I don’t want to chance stomach issues on my 4hr ride home. Did I mention that the staff and food at Sonnys Deli is amazing?

Hot Turkey, Hot Italian and Sonny’s Cheesesteak are Fire!!! Food quality is excellent and also a great value. You can get a delicious sub made with fresh ingredients for less than the price of a fast food meal. The staff is friendly. The owners are present and always express gratitude for patronizing their business. This is a wonderful family run establishment. Sonny’s is a must try if you’re a local!

After reading so many positive reviews about this place, I can finally say that I've been there and this lived up to the hype and exceeded my expectations! As soon as I walked in I was treated like I was family! (and I mean that in a good way!) The owners and their kids were so nice! I told them we live about 2 hours away and my wife just had to mention it was my birthday too. As soon as they heard that, they had everyone in they're singing happy birthday to me. After being offered a few things to sample, we decided on three sandwiches, the hot Italian, Nicoloi's chicken cutlet and a sausage parm. Everything was delicious. And those chicken cutlets reminded me of childhood! I'll definitely be back! 10/10!

I kept hearing people on social media saying great things about Sonny's Italian Market and wow what a great great Italian sub with all the right Italian flavors , the staff were very helpful and pleasant thanks Sony's for the great and easy experience. You are now my go to !

My review is based primarily on stopping in and getting one cold hoagie to go. I decided to try the hot Italian. Definitely a great sandwich! They don't skimp on the meats and cheese which is awesome. The roll was nicely seeded and hard on the outside while soft on the inside. That's the perfect hoagie roll! My taste buds are quite satisfied. I had never been here before. From the name, I was expecting there to be a deli counter, but I didn't see one. I wasn't there for anything other than the sandwich, so it didn't matter to me. I didn't see any place to sit any inside. However, they did have some tables and chairs on the sidewalk outside. It's just like a small Italian place in Philly. The lady that took my order was very friendly. I was also impressed that they have a special menu for Lent. That was a nice touch. Overall, I recommend! I want to go back and try a cheesesteak and see how those are.

Finally got to try the famous Sonny’s and it didn’t disappoint. Came in to try the Italian that’s all over the FB Hoagie pages but was blown away by how flavorful the Cheesesteak was! The staff was friendly from the moment we walked in and helped us build our dream hoagie! Can’t wait to come back and try more deliciousness from this legendary spot!

First time, The 'sub' is straight up a great Hoagie! Hub and Mum are silent with a few murmurs of complete satisfaction. I didn't get a pic of the plain cheese steak, without onion, my son ate it before I could get the picture. When I asked him where was it for a pic he smiled, rubbed his belly and said it was "sooo damn good". I grew up NE Philly, still have my 215 phone # I got in the 90s lol When I saw the 215 on the menu, oh hell yeah. Peppers, Onions, Cheese and Sauce! I was so ready to get my 215 on! Unfortunately, the 215 I ordered was not a 215, it was a cheese steak with fried onions. It was respectable yet I don't care for a dry cheese steak! I committed a cardinal sin when I ended up adding mayo (the shame is real, don't tell my relatives). It fixed it right up but I had to add tomato and lettuce to justify the mayo. It was a very good cheese steak hoagie! We'll be back and will try again for a 215
